RJM Construction team member recognized as Certified Healthcare Constructor by AHA

RJM Construction announced that Heather Hoffman, project manager, has earned the designation of Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC).

Administered since 2010, the CHC is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among an elite group of more than 800 healthcare construction professionals who currently hold the certification.

Hoffman has been in the construction industry for more than 20 years. Her clients include Park Nicollet Health Services, Twin Cities Orthopedics and North Clinic. Four other individuals at RJM Construction hold the CHC designation.

The CHC certification program supports the community of healthcare construction professionals and is designed to provide an objective and rigorous assessment of broad-based knowledge in healthcare construction. To earn the CHC certification, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of education and associated healthcare-specific professional experience, agree to adhere to the AHA Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CHC Certification Examination.

The CHC Examination is designed to test a well-defined body of knowledge that is representative of practice in these healthcare construction management areas:Healthcare Industry Fundamentals; Planning, Design and Construction Process; Healthcare Facility Safety- Additions & Renovations; and Financial Stewardship.

To retain the certification, CHC certificants must demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development by maintaining currency of the certification through participation in professional development activities.
