RMK Management Corp., one of the Midwest’s largest market-rate apartment management firms, has been named property manager for two luxury rental communities in Chicagoland: The Shelby, a 94-unit building in Chicago’s South Loop and Brookdale Lakes, a 200-unit property in Naperville, Illinois, effective as of Nov. 1.
Built in 2010 and located at 2300 S. Michigan Ave. in the South Loop, near the Lake Michigan lakefront path, Grant Park, the Museum Campus and Soldier Field, The Shelby offers convenient access to some of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks. In addition, residents are a short walk to the Cermak-McCormick Green Line “L” station and various bus stops and are just steps away from many restaurants and attractions, including McCormick Place and Wintrust Arena.
Standing seven stories tall, The Shelby offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, with one to two baths, measuring 655 to 1,270 square feet. Rents range from $2,015 to $3,000 per month. Residences include high ceilings, stainless steel appliances, oversize soaking tubs, walk-in closets and private balconies.
Building amenities at The Shelby, which is pet-friendly, include key-fob access, 24-hour emergency maintenance, package handling with email and text notifications, bike storage and an attached secured parking garage.
Located at 1812 Gowdey Road in Naperville, near Interstate 88 and U.S. Route 59, Brookdale Lakes comprises 19 acres and offers residents a serene, tucked-away location with green space, ponds and walking paths. Residents have easy access to recreation, restaurants and shopping centers, as the community is a 10-minute drive to the entertainment district of Downtown Naperville, and it is only minutes away from the Naperville Metra station.
Brookdale Lakes offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, with one to two baths, measuring 787 to 1,070 square feet. Rents range from $1,750 to $2,155 per month. The development comprises 20 two-story apartment buildings, each offering 10 units with built-in one-car garages for each residence.
Apartments include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and oak-style plank flooring. Select residences include in-unit laundry, and every floor plan features either a balcony or patio.
