Ryan Companies on March 10 formally announced the sale of the 222 Hennepin multi-family/retail building in downtown Minneapolis to Weidner Apartment Homes of Seattle. The apartment building sold for $109 million.
Ryan Companies and co-developer The Excelsior Group began developing the corner of Hennepin and Washington avenues in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighborhood into a Whole Foods Market and 286 luxury apartments. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal eventually named the project its Best Overall Real Estate Development.
