Construction on a new 67,000-square-foot Schaumburg Toyota facility has wrapped up at 875 W. Golf Rd.

Ryan Companies completed construction on the new facility, which replaces the original showroom built in 1978, for Resnick Automotive Group to showcase its vehicles in a more modern state-of-the-art facility.

The new space nearly doubles the size of the original Schaumburg Toyota dealership. It includes a 14,000-square-foot showroom, a 24,000-square-foot service center area, 3,500 square feet of office space and a 2,000-square-foot staff break room and lounge.

It also includes 5,000 square feet of storage that consists of 3,500 square feet of mezzanine storage area and other specialty areas to better serve clients. In addition to the main structure, the Ryan team renovated an existing building into an annex at 817 Golf Rd. where certain parts and service operations will be housed.

Construction started on the new $13 million ground-up facility in September 2015.The building is constructed from modern precast concrete and steel incorporating ACM panels and 15′ tall, floor-to-ceiling glass in the showroom area. One special design feature of the new Schaumburg Toyota facility is a covered outdoor showroom. This area of the dealership allows 10 or more cars to be displayed for a distinctive outdoor showroom experience.

The Ryan Companies project team included Adam Zarek, project manager, and Jim Herbst, division manager. Other members of the project team include ARCHIDEAS, which provided architecture and design services for the dealership, and SpaceCo, which provided civil engineering services.
