Ryan Companies names co-leaders of company’s North region

Ryan Companies US named new leadership for the company’s North region encompassing Minnesota, the Dakotas and the northeastern United States.

Maureen Michalski and Jason Gabrick have been promoted to jointly lead the region – marking the first time in company history that this region will be co-led. This leadership transition follows Tony Barranco’s advancement to Northern Division President after serving as North Region President since 2021.

In their newly expanded roles, Michalski and Gabrick will work closely to oversee the region’s real estate development and construction operations, support Ryan’s significant architecture, engineering and real estate management practices, and continue fostering Ryan’s people-first, collaborative culture.

Now Regional Senior Vice President of Development, Michalski will lead real estate development strategy and execution across the North region. She will continue overseeing landmark projects such as the 122-acre Highland Bridge redevelopment in Saint Paul and representing Ryan in industry and community leadership roles, including the Executive Committee of the Minneapolis Downtown Council and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber Board of Directors. Since joining Ryan in 2020, Michalski has led the region’s mixed-use team and played a key role in advancing complex mixed-use and specialty developments.

Gabrick, now Regional Senior Vice President of Operations, will lead all regional construction operations and continue to guide and support Ryan’s construction leadership team. In addition to operations, Gabrick will take on an expanded role in business development and cultivating relationships with clients and partners. Gabrick’s journey began with an internship in 2002, and he has since led over $5 billion of complex construction projects across various sectors.
