Ryan Cos. names Brad Schoenfelder new president of Midwest Region

Ryan Companies US, Inc. announced that Brad Schoenfelder, who has been with Ryan for 17 years, will be named president of the Midwest Region and continue to work out of the company’s Des Moines office.

Schoenfelder joined Ryan in 1999, and in recent years served as the vice president of Development contributing to Ryan’s overall strength and consistent double-digit growth before, during and after the recession.

His team’s recent projects have included work for: Principal Financial Group; Krause Gateway Center; American Enterprise Group, and JSC Properties.  Schoenfelder led Ryan’s development efforts to lease over 1.0 MM sf for DuPont Pioneer, Merchants Bonding, Principal and Toro within the Midwest over the last six years.

He is currently actively involved in United Way of Central Iowa Campaign, American Heart Association, Rotary Club of Des Moines, and was recognized as a Des Moines Business Record 40 Under Forty leader for his achievements, leadership and community involvement.

Marc Gullickson, who is the current Midwest Region President, more than a year ago shared his plans to retire. This set in motion the creation of a succession plan for his position, as well as the hiring of team members to take over and add to Ryan’s business development efforts. Gullickson, who has been with Ryan 20 years, plans to stay on to focus on regional development efforts and the company named Lydia Brown and Brian Clark to Director of Development positions.

Brown, who works in the Cedar Rapids office, is a highly-regarded entrepreneur, relationship manger, and community leader in Eastern Iowa. And Clark, who was hired for the Des Moines office is a well-known and highly-respected real estate leader and planner who led Confluence for 17 years.  Brown and Clark bring a combined 50 years of experience to the Ryan team.
