Savills adds CRE pros to new Toledo office

The brokerage team of Chris Clayton and Terri Never have joined Savills as senior managing director and managing director, respectively. Clayton and Never will specialize in the industrial sector and will be based in Savills’ Toledo, Ohio, office.

The duo will work closely with Senior Vice President Darin Manning of the Columbus, Ohio, office and newly-appointed head of Savills Industrial Services Group Gregg Healy to expand the firm’s industrial, supply chain, and logistics services in the region.

“We are continuing to expand Savills presence in key markets throughout the Midwest,” said George Kohl, EVP of Operations. “Toledo continues to be the center of trade and industry in Northwest Ohio, and its location along the shores of Lake Erie and less than an hour from Detroit allow immediate market access to more than half of North America, including Canada.”

Before Savills, Clayton served as vice president at JLL. He was also a principal at the Staubach Company and the Ostendorf Morris Company, where he led the largest industrial team in the Greater Cleveland market at the time.

Throughout his more than 35-year career, Clayton has acquired or sold more than 55,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate with combined sales of over 3,500 acres of land. He is an expert at guiding clients through property acquisitions and dispositions, including site selection, build-to-suits, sale-leasebacks, and advising on logistics solutions, facility valuation, and capital sourcing.

Alongside Clayton, Never joins from boutique firm KodaC LLC where she was vice president. She brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate, design and engineering, and construction and specializes in advising clients in the automotive, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. She is skilled in providing a wide range of real estate advisory services for industrial users, in addition to extensive experience in project management and business development.
