Solomon Cordwell Buenz has released renderings for a new dorm complex the firm is designing for the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The project was developed through a public-private partnership and will include a 10-story, 550-bed residence hall with a mix of single, double and suite-style layouts. The 201,000-square-foot building will also include a 54,000-square-foot, two-story academic wing with three large lecture halls, four classrooms, small group study rooms, a tutoring center, computer stations, and social and study areas.
