MB Real Estate Healthcare Group announced that Shannon Smith has joined the firm’s Healthcare team as a portfolio manager. Smith will be based in the Chicago office and oversee Midwestern properties.
As portfolio manager, Smith will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, contract negotiation, capital projects and lease administration. She will also organize operating and capital budgets, conduct transaction due diligence, manage on-site staff and third-party contractors/vendors as well as oversee construction and capital projects.
Prior to joining MB Real Estate Healthcare, Smith was a property manager for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare where she contributed to the development of a one million square foot LEED Certified outpatient medical office building. She has also held property management positions with CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield.
Smith is a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Marketing in Business. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois and holds her RPA designation from BOMI International. Smith currently resides in Chicago and will work from the firm’s corporate headquarter office.
