The Shenehon Center for Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business has opened nominations for the 2025 Minnesota Real Estate Hall of Fame. Established in 2010, the purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor, preserve and perpetuate the names and accomplishments of real estate leaders who have made a significant contribution in real estate and demonstrated care and concern for improving their community as business leaders.
The basic criteria for acceptance into the Hall of Fame is outstanding business performance coupled with a high standard of ethics. Usually, the honorees are responsible for successful and/or innovative business activities and have made major life-long contributions to the industry.
Nominees must be retired from their primary job, at least 65 years of age, or deceased. They can represent any discipline within the real estate industry. Past inductees have included men and women who worked in a wide variety of areas including development, construction, brokerage, property management, appraisal, lending, and law. Many members of the hall of fame started or grew a business, leading it to extraordinary achievements, major transactions, and innovative projects.
Nominations for the Class of 2025 must be submitted before the June 15, 2025, deadline to be included on the ballot. The awards ceremony honoring this year’s inductees is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12th – taking place at The Club of Golden Valley.
