ButtonBlock07Siegel-Gallagher recently helped close the sale of the historic Button Block building in downtown Milwaukee.

The Button Block building is a seven-story 67,200-square-foot property at the corner of Water Street and Clybourn Street. Kenosha-based Bear Development purchased the building, which was built in 1892.

Joey Buona’s Italian Restaurant serves as the anchor of the building. The third through seventh floors of the building were vacant at the time of the sale. Bear Development plans to turn the floors into multi-family units.

The property was listed for sale at $2.1 million.

Patrick Gallagher and Matson Holbrook of Siegel-Gallagher’s investment properties group represented the seller, Button Block, LLC, in the transaction.
