Ready. Set. Hike. It was a special night of history, football, networking, humor—and real estate. What else would you expect when the MC is Anthony “Spice” Adams?
Anthony, the former Chicago Bear, current host of Inside the Bears on the Chicago Bears Network and guest star of HBO’s current hit series Ballers, acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the Halas Hall Experience, the SIOR Chicago Chapter’s Platinum Sponsor Appreciation event held at—where else—Halas Hall, the Chicago Bears’ headquarters and training center, Nov. 15.
SIOR Platinum sponsors, SIOR Chapter members and their guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, hearty Bears’ dinner fare and the highlight of the night: a Q&A with current Chicago Bears “ballers” Sherrick McManis, No. 27, a cornerback and a Northwestern University alum; Sam Acho, No. 49, Linebacker and Akeim Hicks, No. 96, Defensive line.
Leadership, ethics, work hazards and passion for the game were all part of the spirited conversation. A delightful surprise: Acho, a lover of Shakespeare in addition to his linebacker duties, rounded out the night with a brilliant soliloquy from King Richard III.
