Skender completed the 83,000-square-foot buildout of Harrison Street Asset Management’s headquarters at The Fulton, 919 W. Fulton Market in Chicago.
The real estate and infrastructure investment management firm is relocating from its prior location at 444 W. Lake Street.
HSAM’s new three-floor buildout supports its need for a more flexible and functional workplace environment. In a total construction timeline of just 26 weeks, Skender constructed an atrium stair that connects the main levels and enhances internal circulation; a dedicated executive suite; a mix of private offices and open work areas; and large terrace spaces. A central café, equipped with a full bar and built-in audiovisual system, is designed to accommodate all-hands meetings.
The design from architect SCB incorporates an urban, industrial aesthetic that reflects the character of the Fulton Market neighborhood while supporting a flexible, functional workplace environment.
Skender also served as the base building general contractor for the entire 535,000-square-foot amenity-rich development, which wrapped construction in April and features several prominent office tenants in addition to Gibson’s Steakhouse and Equinox Fitness. The WELL- and LEED-Silver-certified property is the only Class A office building to break ground in Chicago since 2023.
