
Stage Equity Partners appointed Cody Weiss as director. The appointment was made by Brian Howard, the firm’s founder and principal.
At Stage, Weiss is responsible for guiding new acquisitions, developments, refinances and dispositions, including initial underwriting, financial and property due diligence, structuring debt and equity components and ultimately closing the transactions. Weiss will also work closely with Stage executives, tenants, brokers and vendors as the firm provides best in class management to properties owned by Stage and its third-party clients.
Weiss brings six years of experience in commercial real estate investment to his position at Stage. Previously, Weiss was a Vice President at GEM Realty Capital, an institutional real estate investment firm in Chicago, where most recently he led asset management efforts for a portfolio of office, industrial, residential, and retail assets valued at over $700 million. Prior to making the transition to asset management, Weiss was an acquisitions analyst.
Weiss earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a focus in Finance, from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. He is actively involved in charitable initiatives. He is one of the Co-Founders and a Vice President of the FIDF Young Leadership Board, Chicago Chapter.
