SME announced that Mark Kramer has been appointed to the Fellows of the Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA).
Established in 1969 to help its geoprofessional-member firms and their clients confront risk and optimize performance, the organization established the Council in 1975 to provide guidance for GBA’s direction.
Kramer has led SME’s 300-plus professional and technical staff for the last 15 years. As CEO, he is responsible for corporate development, profitability, staff retention and development, client satisfaction and risk management.
He has more than 25 years of experience in geotechnical, environmental, and building materials engineering, and has managed and provided technical oversight for over 400 projects throughout the country.
Kramer volunteers extensively within the engineering field and in the community. He is currently serving as President for ACEC Michigan, and he is a past Board member for the GBA as well as Past Business Practice Committee Chair. He currently serves on the YPO – Motor City Chapter Board of Directors and its Membership Committee, and is a past Director of the Plymouth Area YMCA.
