Architecture, engineering and planning firm SmithGroupJJR has named Lise Newman, workplace studio head at the company’s Detroit office, to its board of directors.
Newman brings 30 years of experience to her new position. Her clients in southeastern Michigan include Ford Motor Company, Google, Microsoft, Plante Moran and Olympia Development Company.
Newman came to SmithGroupJJR in 2013 after serving as owner and principal-in-charge of design at Landry+Newman ARCHITECTURE in Birmingham, Michigan. During her time at this firm, Newman led headquarters projects for clients such as Mercedes-Benz Financial and Taubman Centers.
