The law firm Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. has announced that John Goldstein has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an Officer in the Real Estate and Corporate practice groups.
Goldstein brings more than three decades of experience to the firm, where he will focus his national practice on counseling clients on commercial real estate matters including land acquisitions and dispositions, contracts and leasing, as well as secured lending transactions. His clients include banks, insurance companies, museums, developers, businesses, not-for-profit organizations, landlords and tenants.
His has extensive experience involving multi-state loan transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial leases for regional shopping centers and developing leasing forms. He represents developers in the structuring and negotiating of acquisitions, dispositions and financing of office buildings, shopping centers and industrial sites. He also represents landlords and tenants in leasing transactions involving retail and office space in Chicago and throughout the country.
Previously a partner with the Chicago office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, Goldstein is a past president of the Chicago Mortgage Attorneys Association and a current member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
He earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and holds a B.A., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis.
