Illinois Real Estate Journal continues to add speakers to its annual Property Management Conference, being held on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at the Marriott Oak Brook Hotel.
Robert Bach, National Director, Market Analytics, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, will kick off the conference with an economic review and forecast. An economist, Bach has more than 35 years of commercial real estate experience and is regularly cited in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Bloomberg.
“As we approach the all-important budgeting season, it is beneficial to get an economist’s perspective on the general business climate and the real estate industry,” said Mark Menzies, publisher, Illinois Real Estate Journal. “Bob is very insightful and we look forward to his presentation.
The conference begins at 7 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast. The program will begin promptly at 8 a.m. The cost to attend the conference is $59.
Following Bach’s economic overview there will be two general session panels:
- State of the Market—A panel discussion on the most important issues in the industry, from the management perspective—improving profitability, managing distressed properties, tenant retention, etc.
- The Intersection of Technology and Property Management—A panel that looks at some of the advancements in technology that are being used to improve management efficiencies.
