Irvine, California-based Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates LLC has added Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates – Property Investment Counselors as an affiliate in the Detroit market.
The Birmingham, Michigan-based commercial real estate brokerage firm is led by Robert Pliska, who will serve as president of the newly minted affiliate. Pliska will be part of a growing franchise membership organization that’s adding established brokerage firms and building an entrepreneurial enterprise across the nation and the world.

Pliska brings more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience, adds a diverse coast-to-coast network and has secured more than $1.5 billion in real estate transactions. Previously, he served as president and/or owner of several commercial real estate firms.
Pliska was the president of a full-service commercial realty firm providing sales, financing, leasing, property management and consulting services. His past commercial development transactions encompass millions in activity and ranged in product type from office, retail, multifamily, industrial and hospitality. He also served as a certified public accountant with a global firm where he advised real estate and financial institution clients.
Pliska’s professional activity includes serving as past president and member of the Detroit Area Commercial Realtors; a member and elected Chairman of the Detroit Board of Realtors for the Detroit Metro Commercial Investment Division; a member of the Michigan Association and recipient of the organization’s “Realtor of the Year” award; an executive board member of the Counselors of Real Estate of the National Association of Realtors and a recipient of the CRE designation. Pliska earned his MBA from Michigan State University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit.
