The 363-unit Spoke Apartments, located at 728 N. Morgan Street in Chicago’s River West neighborhood, celebrated its grand opening on May 10. More than 450 guests attended, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who toured the building and its more than one acre of indoor and outdoor amenities.
Developed by Morgan Bond Company, a joint venture of Chicago-based Bond Companies and Morgan Holdings of La Jolla, California, Spoke features studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, a two-bedroom penthouse apartment and three street-level townhomes. The TOD project is located on the Milwaukee Corridor, offering residents access to the area’s dining, shopping and nightlife.
Building amenities offer residents the opportunity to engage in a wide range of hobbies and interests, from two fully-stocked party rooms with kitchens for culinary enthusiasts to a performance lounge and private jamming room for musicians, complete with instruments. The high-end Spoke also includes various fitness options, including a bouldering wall and a cycling studio with Peloton bikes, as well as extensive outdoor amenities for residents and their pets.
During the grand opening remarks, Morgan Bond Company presented a donation to the Chicago Academy for the Arts, a performing arts school located one block north of the development. Students from the school performed for guests as they arrived at the event.
