St. Louis commercial real estate veteran Gregory Nooney, executive vice president with Gershman Commercial, will retire at the end of this month.

Nooney has been a leader in the commercial real estate industry for more than 60 years. He joined St. Louis’ Gershman Commercial Real Estate in 2011 when the company acquired Coldwell Banker Commercial, where Nooney had served as managing principal.

Before joinnig Coldwell Banker Commerce, Nooney was chairman of Nooney|Krombach Co. He also formerly served as president of Nooney Company, which his father started in 1945.

In 2012, the St. Louis chapter of SIOR recognized Nooney for his Legacy Circle involvement and leadership in the national SIOR community.

Nooney has played a major role, too, in the development of several key St. Louis-area buildings, including the Pierre Laclede I & II, Interco Corporate Tower, 500 Broadway and Barrett Woods.
