St. Louis’ HOK adds interior designer to roster

Eric Mersmann has joined architecture firm HOK as director of interiors for the St. Louis office.

Mersmann brings to HOK nearly 25 years of experience working for a variety of design firms, where his responsibilities ranged from design and project management to business development.

Most recently Mersmann served as an associate principal at Perkins+Will and as a senior interior project manager for its Chicago office, leading client engagements on numerous corporate headquarters projects, including Bridgestone Americas in Nashville.

Mersmann began his career in his hometown of St. Louis in the 1990s when, after graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in architecture, he took a job with the design firm Klitzing Welsch. In that role he was involved in many adaptive reuse and restaurant projects including St. Louis Bread Company, the City Museum and the Artloft apartments.
