St. Louis’ KAI adds senior marketing coordinator

KAI appointed Yumi Hernandez-Hohm as Senior Marketing Coordinator at its St. Louis headquarters.

Hernandez-Hohm, a detail-orientated professional, brings over 17 years of AEC industry marketing experience to this crucial role, reinforcing KAI’s commitment to excellence in integrated design and construction.

In her position, Hernandez-Hohm will play a pivotal role in KAI’s marketing efforts, leveraging her extensive expertise to drive the company’s growth and visibility. Her responsibilities encompass a wide range of essential marketing functions, aligning perfectly with KAI’s mission of “Transforming Communities.”

As part of KAI’s in-house marketing team, Hernadez-Hohm will lead and manage comprehensive proposal efforts from inception to submission, ensuring high-quality, competitive responses. She will manage and optimize the company’s CRM database to enhance client relationships and business opportunities. She will spearhead marketing and business development initiatives across multiple KAI offices and develop and maintain marketing materials that effectively highlight KAI’s expertise and project portfolio.

Hernandez-Hohm’s diverse experience spans various markets, including higher education, primary and secondary education, healthcare, correctional facilities, government and federal, civic and municipal, religious institutions, and transportation. Her broad expertise aligns well with KAI’s multifaceted project portfolio.

Prior to joining KAI, Hernandez-Hohm served as Marketing Coordinator for RTM Engineering and BRiC Partnership in Belleville, IL, and as a Marketing Assistant at Faith Group in St. Louis. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Park University in Parkville, MO, and an Associate of Applied Science in Web Development and Data Processing Technology from Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL.

Spending her childhood years at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan, Hernandez-Hohm brings a unique international perspective to her role. She resides in the St. Louis area with her husband Mike and their two children. Outside of work, Hernadez-Hohm enjoys learning Japanese, watching anime and K-dramas, and indulges in a “healthy obsession” with Hello Kitty.
