St. Louis construction management firm S. M. Wilson & Co. promoted Jake Fenster from Senior Estimator to Pre-Construction Manager.
In this role, he oversees project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, subcontractor selection and acting as a liaison between clients, architects and engineers to control costs and define scope. Key duties include cost estimation, creating timelines, bid solicitation, risk analysis, stakeholder communication and ensuring constructability to hand off a successful project to the construction team.
Fenster, of Mascoutah, Illinois, joined S. M. Wilson in 2018 as an estimator and was promoted to Senior Estimator in 2024. He has been integral on large and complex programs such as the Pattonville School District Prop S bond projects and St. Louis Community College – Meramec campus Emerging Technology and Financial Services Education Center. His leadership includes serving on the company’s Collegiate Development Committee.
