Stahl began construction earlier this year on the baseball and softball field addition for Johnston Community School District in Johnston, Iowa. The new fields, located next to Johnston Middle School and Wallace Elementary School, will feature fully accessible bleachers, digital scoreboards and press boxes.
Stahl was hired as the construction manager in June 2018 for the $4 million sports field addition, which is scheduled to be completed by spring 2019.
Additionally, Stahl will transform the former Wallace Elementary School into the Johnston Administrative Building. The 36,305-square-foot building will undergo interior and exterior renovations starting November 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by Summer 2019.
Stahl has been a partner of Johnston CSD since 2014. During the past four years, Stahl built the new 369,000-square-foot Johnston High School and its track and football field complex, transformed the former high school into a middle school and most recently transformed the former middle school into the new Wallace Elementary School and Johnston Early Learning Academy, which opened in August for the 2018-2019 school year.
