Elizabeth Tomlinson has joined Stantec, a global provider of sustainable design and engineering, as senior associate, mechanical engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She will focus on integrating climate change mitigation and adaptation, commissioning, and energy transitions within a variety of project types—including healthcare, municipal, education, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and transportation—across North America.
Tomlinson has 20 years of professional engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. In addition to research and building design, she has developed resilience services and directed commissioning and energy auditing services.
Throughout Tomlinson’s career, she has demonstrated a sustained trajectory of innovation and leadership. She is a member of the State of Minnesota’s Resilience and Adaptation Action Team. She is a Steering Leader for the Minnesota Resiliency Collaboration, Regional Vice Chair for the Governmental Affairs of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
Tomlinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Florida, Virginia, and Connecticut. Additionally, she is LEED accredited and holds credentials as a Building Commissioning Provider.
