Denver-based 801 Restaurant Group will open an 11,180-square-foot 801 Chophouse restaurant at RSM Plaza in Minneapolis. The new restaurant will open in the fall of 2019 at the office tower owned by Chicago’s Golub & Company.
The addition of the restaurant is an important step in the redevelopment of the downtown office tower.
Originally opened in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1993, the family-owned 801 Chophouse has grown to six locations across the Midwest. This will be the first location in Minnesota.
Since 2015, when Golub & Company acquired RSM Plaza, the redevelopment has focused on modernizing the property by adding amenities such as a fitness center and conference center, expanding the connection to the Skyway and enhancing the streetscape and retail offerings.
