General contractor Summit Design + Build, LLC, recently completed the build-out of Boqueria, a Spanish tapas bar and restaurant, in Chicago’s Fulton Market. This opening marks the restaurant’s first location outside of its home markets of New York City and Washington D.C., where the brand has become known for its vibrant dining experience.
Located at 807 W. Fulton, Boqueria occupies just over 4,300 square feet on the first floor of the new seven-story office building of the same address. The location puts Boqueria at the gateway to Fulton Market, which is known for its lineup of popular restaurants and bars, acclaimed restaurateurs and food halls.
Construction of Boqueria started in late summer and included the build-out of a full commercial kitchen, indoor dining room, a custom designed bar, bathrooms, back-of-house area and exterior signage. The space is complete with custom millwork and imported finishes. Boqueria has seating for up to 140 indoors, including seating at the bar and along a kitchen counter. During warmer months, Boqueria will also have exterior seating, increasing the restaurant’s capacity.
Paris-based Studio Razavi Architects provided architectural and design services for Boqueria. Pippett Consulting served as the owner’s representative.
