Summit Design + Build LLC has recently completed a 16,000-square-foot corporate headquarters, retail showroom and distribution center for PCNation at 500 N. Central Road in Northfield.
PCNation is a mail order/direct dealer of information technology products and consumer electronics from top manufacturers such as HP, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, Canon and Microsoft. The company was founded in 1996 and has relocated from their existing operations in Northbrook to the new Northfield location.
According to Patrick Brown, Summit Design + Build’s senior project manager, who was responsible for the on-site construction of PCNation, the project included the addition of a new glass storefront and loading dock to the existing building and the interior build-out of a large open office area, conference rooms, employee lounge and state-of-the-art retail showroom. Evanston-based Stuart Cohen & Julie Hacker Architects LLC provided architectural services for the project.
