Summit Design + Build exceeds Team Build Day fundraising goal by 203 percent

Summit Design + Build, LLC, along with friends and family, participated in their second annual Team Build Day on Oct. 8, supporting Habitat for Humanity Chicago.

A team of 23 was on site at 11939 S. Union Avenue in the West Pullman neighborhood from 7:45 am to 3 pm. Throughout the day, work progressed on three houses with teams building stairs, framing walls for garages and first and second floor bathrooms and installing drywall.

In the months leading up to the Team Build Day, employees raised $13,700 for the event, surpassing the original team goal by 203%. Summit deemed this year’s event “Build the Block 2016″ as the team worked on the exact block at last year’s Team Build Day.

“Community involvement is very important to us and we support a number of different causes, but I can’t think of a better way to give back then by getting out and doing what we do best to help a deserving family,” said Adam Miller, President, Summit Design + Build, LLC. “It was a big success and we hope to be back next year to continue our support of this great organization.”
