SVN Chicago Commercial has closed the first round of multifamily properties in the 206-unit, six-building EquityBuild Portfolio. The properties are located in Chicago’s South Shore, Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago Lawn and East Chatham neighborhoods.
Jeffrey Baasch and Finley Askin of SVN Chicago Commercial represented the seller in these transactions, which included 5001 S. Drexel Boulevard, 8100 S. Essex Avenue, 7927-49 S. Essex Avenue, 7549-59 S. Essex Avenue, 7502 S. Eggleston Avenue and 6160-6212 S. Martin Luther King Drive. Marketing efforts have commenced for the next round of properties in the EquityBuild Portfolio of 10 multifamily buildings and 252 units.
“There was significant interest from the investment community in the first round with all six properties trading at or above the ask price,” Baasch said. “We anticipate continued interest in the next round of properties that we’re bringing to market.”
