SVN Chicago Commercial arranged the $9 million sale of Barrington Square Town Center, a 101,769-square-foot neighborhood shopping center on 11.01 acres at 2300–2356 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
The transaction marks the first time the property has changed ownership since 1979, demonstrating a continued investor appetite for stabilized, income-producing retail within the Northwest suburban retail market.
Wayne Caplan and Al Lindeman of SVN Chicago Commercial represented the Dutch-based ownership group, Depa Holding Company, along with their U.S. partner, Caruso Development Corporation. The property was purchased by a local investment group, represented by Harris Ali of Sky High Real Estate.
Notably, the center sits adjacent to an approximately 7.24-acre site slated to be “Grand Reserve of Hoffman Estates,” a 330-unit luxury apartment development, adding a compelling long-term demand driver for the property.
