Sundance, Inc., one of the largest franchisees in the Yum Brands family, has purchased an outlot on U.S. 41 in front of an existing Meijer store to build a new Taco Bell in Highland, Ind. This store will be a relocation of the current Taco Bell at Route 30 and U.S. 41 in Schererville, Ind.
Sundance, Inc. is located in Brighton, Mich., and operates more than 120 Taco Bell restaurants throughout the Midwest. Taco Bell opened its first location in Downey, Calif., in 1962. The chain now includes 6,500 restaurants, 350 franchisees and 150,000 employees.
Taco Bell completed the purchase of about 1.4 acres of land with plans to start construction in the spring.
