The Nerdery has executed a 24,500-square-foot lease at 1033 West Van Buren, owned by The Pizzuti Companies and Middleton Partners in Chicago’s West Loop Neighborhood.
Cushman & Wakefield’s senior directors Larry Goldwasser and Kathleen Nelson represented the landlord; Prism Corporate Realty, led by President Tony Guido, represented The Nerdery.
The 84,000-square-foot building was acquired by Columbus, Ohio-based developer Pizzuti in partnership with Chicago real estate investment firm Middleton Partners in 2014. The two floors of fully renovated loft office space will accommodate The Nerdery’s rapid growth and provide employees with a Best in Class place to work.
The building is located in close proximity to the UIC-Halsted station on the CTA’s Blue Line and near the center of activity on Randolph Street and Fulton Market. The seven floors of unique loft office space offer flexible floor plans, windows on all four sides and tremendous highway visibility.
“We’re thrilled to welcome The Nerdery into 1033VB,” said C&W’s Larry Goldwasser. “With an attentive ownership group and a completely renovated building, we’re certain that the Nerdery will enjoy the building for years to come.”
Established in 2003, The Nerdery has grown from a founding group of three programmers to an interactive development firm with over 400 employees. The Nerdery helps their partners imagine and implement interactive projects by focusing on technical consulting and execution.
