Tesla Inc. will build its fourth U.S. factory in Travis County, Texas, five minutes away from the Austin airport. The facility will be used to manufacture its Cybertruck consumer pickup model as well as a long-haul commercial semi truck model.

Construction of the factory will require an estimated $1 billion and the county and local school district have agreed to $60 million in tax incentives over the next decade to bring the project to fruition. According to Tesla chief executive, Elon Musk, the 2,000-acre location will also serve as an open space for the public.

“We’re going to make it a factory that is going to be stunning,” Musk said. “It’s right on the Colorado River [with] a boardwalk where there will be a hiking and biking trail. It’s going to be an ecological paradise—birds in the trees, butterflies, fish in the stream—and it will be open to the public as well.”

The time line for the project is currently unknown.
