The Laramar Group, a national real estate investment and management company, announced that David Egeland and Michael Burnaz have joined the company as vice president of marketing and vice president of construction, respectively.
Egeland comes to Laramar from General Growth Properties, the second largest retail REIT in the U.S., where he spent 14 years in several senior marketing positions. During his 27-year career, Egeland has also worked as a brand director at Sears Roebuck and Co., senior brand manager at Kraft Foods, media supervisor for Leo Burnett advertising, and vice president of marketing with Western region.
Burnaz joins the Laramar Group from Roy Jorgensen Associates where he served as national director of facility management and was responsible for daily operations and overall direction of the maintenance/construction division. In addition to Roy Jorgensen Associates, Burnaz has served as project manager for Avalon Bay Communities, corporate director of construction/facility services for Vintage Senior Living, regional service manager for Archstone, and was responsible for Code and Neighborhood Services with the City of Moreno Valley, California.
In his new role as VP of construction, Burnaz is responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic direction for the Laramar Construction Services Division to include Due Diligence, Value Add, Redevelopment, and Capital Projects.
