The Missner Group will be starting the new year off with a big change. The firm has relocated its Skokie, Illinois-based headquarter offices to accommodate its recent growth.
Missner Group moved its offices to the Higgins Center at 1700 W. Higgins Road in Des Plaines between Mannheim Road and I-90.
Its former headquarters at 5500 E. Touhy in Skokie–comprised of two existing buildings, the Touhy Linder development–will be redeveloped into a new 4.27-acre, four-building retail center that will include a 20,850-square-foot Goodwill and a 4,304-square-foot drive-thru Panera Café. The two other retail buildings will consist of 5,500 square feet and 6,150 square feet.
President and Principal of The Missner Group, Barry Missner, said the time is right for the redevelopment of the Touhy Linder mixed-use property, which has served as the company’s headquarters since 1972 when it was constructed.
The firm’s new site will have a large parking area and outdoor seating between buildings in addition to a media room, game room and several amenities for the employees. Construction is scheduled to commence within the month with a completion slated for late summer 2016.
According to the firm, The Missner Group will occupy temporary space while self-performing an interior build-out to include open work areas, private offices, a conference room as well as lunch rooms and break rooms. The new space is designed to house its expanding operations as well as offer room for future growth and flexibility.
“With the redevelopment plans underway, we look forward to establishing our new offices within the Higgins Centre,” Missner, said. “The office lies within close proximity to the O’Hare market with easy access to downtown and the suburbs, making it an ideal location for our employee base as well as for accessing our clients, investors and colleagues within the commercial real estate industry.”
