The Missner Group has been selected for a 78,700-square-foot build-out in Mount Prospect for JAS Forwarding Worldwide, a private international freight forwarder and logistics provider. Located at 1400 Algonquin Road in the northwest suburb of Chicago, property owner Clarion Partners and project manager Colliers International has contracted The Missner Group to complete the building renovations to the distribution/warehouse facility leased by JAS Forwarding.
The project includes improvements to the electrical and lighting systems, warehouse flooring and ventilation renovations, restroom upgrades and an ESFR sprinkler system. Construction will also include the addition of 13 exterior docks with one over-sized position for air cargo containers, one drive-in door and the renovation of 8,000 square feet of office space.
Jess Knigge, vice president of construction, is the project executive for The Missner Group and Jack Sbertoli is the project manager. Melissa Powell of Colliers International is overseeing the construction management. Harris Architects is providing architectural services on the project, which is slated for a turn-key completion in spring 2012.
