The Opus Group has completed a 75,000-square-foot headquarters facility for HELUKABEL USA, located in the Oakview Corporate Park in West Dundee, Illinois. The industrial office and warehouse building serves as the North American headquarters for the German company that manufactures and supplies cables, wires and accessories for industrial, infrastructure and office applications.
“We’re pleased to help design a space to fit HELUKABEL’s current and future needs as the organization continues to grow,” said Jim Caesar, regional vice president, Opus Design Build, L.L.C. “This is another great addition to the Oakview Corporate Park and the team delivered this project ahead of schedule allowing HELULKABEL’s workforce extra time to settle into their new space while maintaining operational schedules.”
The new facility is on an eight-acre site less than five miles from HELUKABEL’s previous Elgin headquarters. The building is nearly double that of the company’s former facility, allowing it to expand its North American business and its workforce. The location will also allow for future growth with the potential to expand to 200,000 square feet. The new headquarters features 7,000 square feet of office space, 28-foot clear height ceilings, one drive-in door and four loading docks. The company’s modern branding and vibrant red logo is notable throughout the designed interiors.

This was Opus’ seventh project in the Oakview Corporate Park and the fifth international company to build a North American headquarters facility in the park. Opus’ portfolio of work in the area includes headquarter facilities for Renishaw Incorporated and oelheld U.S. Inc., as well as a speculative industrial warehouse, Leafs Ice Centre, a warehouse facility for Maxzone Vehicle Lighting Corporation and two warehouse and office facilities for King Shan. Oakview has two remaining sites that could accommodate up to three buildings.
