The Opus Group has signed a contract with Capp Industries, Inc. to design and construct a 121,000-square-foot speculative warehouse and distribution facility in Shakopee, Minn.
Capp Industries is a Bloomington, Minn.-based commercial real estate developer with more than 50 years of industrial property development experience. Opus has, over a period of more than 20 years, worked with Capp Industries on a wide variety of industrial and commercial projects across the Twin Cities.
Located at 4551 12th Ave. in Shakopee, this building will be adjacent and architecturally complementary to the first-phase project built by Opus for Capp Industries in 1996. The building will be designed with a 32-foot clear height and 50-foot-deep structural bays.
Construction will begin this fall, and completion is slated for January of 2015. Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder and Opus AE Group, L.L.C is the project’s architect and engineer of record. Capp Industries is the developer and will own and lease the project.
