The Green Building Certification Institute recently named Prasad Vaidya of The Weidt Group to the inaugural class of LEED Fellows.

The LEED Fellow Program is the institute’s newest professional designation, one that recognizes exceptional contributions to green building and significant professional achievement within the rapidly growing community of LEED professionals.

Vaidya was among 34 of the world’s most distinguished green building professionals to be selected as LEED Fellows through a peer nomination and portfolio review process. Vaidya’s LEED AP BD+C credential and more than 12 years of green building experience, including his role as LEED Faculty™, comprise a few of his qualifications.

Prasad Vaidya will be recognized with the rest of the 2011 LEED Fellow class at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Toronto from Oct. 4-7.
