Tishman Speyer secured a 163,000-square-foot headquarters extension with Vedder at 222 N. LaSalle Street, the iconic 26-story building in downtown Chicago.
Vedder signed a 12-year extension to maintain its global headquarters at 222 N. LaSalle through 2041. The law firm, which has headquartered at 222 N. LaSalle since 1988, will continue to occupy 163,000 square feet across five floors.
Tishman Speyer serves as property manager and leasing agent at 222 N LaSalle and was represented by Ellen May, Steve Golz and Bella Rapken. Vedder was represented by Joe Learner and Adam Southard of Savills.
222 N. LaSalle recently completed an expansive renovation program, bringing hospitality and amenities into the riverfront tower. Since unveiling its renovation plans in 2024, the building has secured 490,000 square feet of leases, including significant agreements with Ninja Trader and Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres. The one million-square-foot tower is now 87 percent leased.
While maintaining its classic appeal, recent upgrades at 222 N. LaSalle include renovating the lobby with new food and beverage options (Fatback & the Green Butcher and Naiya’s Coffee) and adding an outdoor patio to the Zo Clubhouse. All tenants have access to Zo Clubhouse, Tishman Speyer’s amenity network that provides access to exclusive spaces and programing across the global portfolio.
Prominently positioned at the intersection of Wacker Drive and the LaSalle Street corridor, 222 N.
