Trammell Crow Company (TCC) has promoted Grady Hamilton to managing director, and John Carlson to principal within the firm’s Midwest Business Unit.
As managing director, Hamilton will continue his role in overseeing the Midwest Business Unit, responsible for the overall performance of the Business Unit, including identifying new development and investment opportunities throughout Chicago, Minneapolis and Detroit.
Under his leadership, the office has completed or is currently underway with more than $250 million in development, including 938 apartment units across six luxury market-rate projects, one speculative industrial building, and one value-add industrial acquisition. A 17-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Hamilton joined TCC in 2010 and previously served as a principal.
In his new role as principal, Carlson is responsible for development and acquisition activities throughout the Midwest, including sourcing new opportunities, developing capital relationships, and helping to manage the company’s entitlement, development and repositioning strategies. He joined TCC in 2012 and previously served as a senior vice president.
