Transwestern Real Estate Services announces the sale of the Campana Building, a 131,000-square-foot light industrial flex property at 901 N. Batavia Ave. in Batavia, Illinois. Transwestern Senior Executive Vice President Michael Marconi, and former Senior Director Paige Gunn represented the buyer and the seller, Batavia Business Center, LLC and Campana Redevelopment, respectively.
Situated on a 12-acre parcel, the property is 7.5 miles north of Interstate 88 and State Route 31 and approximately 40 miles from O’Hare and Midway International Airports.
According to Transwestern research, Chicago’s industrial market set a new historic benchmark in 2021 as demand for space drove unprecedented growth. Chicago reported $8.8 billion of sales volume in 2021, a new all-time high and a 55.5% increase from 2020. The market remains uniquely positioned to continue expansive growth in 2022.
The Campana Building was 65% leased at the time of sale. New ownership has retained Transwestern to provide leasing and property management services. The property offers office, commercial and light industrial space for lease.
