Transwestern announced that Culture Studio has leased 48,804 square feet of warehouse and office space at 1151 W. 40th St, more than quadrupling the size of its previous space. The clothing company is relocating its headquarters from 1528 W. Adams, where is has been since 2009. The company signed a 10-year lease at its new location.
“Culture Studio’s explosive growth led the firm to a new neighborhood,” said Adam Schneiderman, a Transwestern senior director of tenant advisory who represented Culture Studio in the transaction. “Having negotiated on its behalf for its previous space, Transwestern was excited to watch such a great firm grow so quickly and assist in its search for bigger space.”
The new space is located in an area commonly referred to as the Back of the Yards neighborhood. The historic Back of the Yards neighborhood, near the site of the Chicago Stockyards, has recently seen many older buildings revitalized into modern warehouses as part of the economic growth on Chicago’s South Side.
Darwin Realty’s Rick Daly represented the building owner, Cabot II, in the transaction.
