Retailer Woodcraft Supply in March moved into the 8,000-square-foot Pier 37 in Monona, Wis., bringing the 117,000-square-foot grocery-anchored retail center to 99 percent leased.

Looking to relocate its Madison store from its original 14-year location, the owner conducted a customer study and found that the Pier 37 location moved him closer to 70 percent of his existing customer base.

The team handling the transaction included Jamie Pollock, asset manager with United Properties; Brad Kaplan, landlord broker with Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq; Kevin Forest, property manager with Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq; Mike Herl, tenant broker with Inland Companies; and McGuire Contractors, Inc., which handled tenant construction.

Owned by United Properties, Pier 37 is a Copps-anchored retail center located on the southeast side of Madison.  Other tenants include Staples, Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings and Noodles & Co.
