Urban Innovations promotes Tony Lindsay to vice president

Urban Innovations has announced that Tony Lindsay has been promoted to vice president. He joined the firm in 2003 as a senior project manager.

Lindsay is responsible for tenant improvement, capital improvement and general construction services for all Urban Innovation’s Construction Services customers. From conception to completion, Tony manages all phases of construction whether it is commercial, retail or residential project.

Under his leadership, Urban Innovations recently completed a new 11,000-square-foot location for Ten Ninety Beer Company in Glenview, Illinois. The firm also completed 41,616 square feet of 12 new restaurant spaces throughout the city of Chicago.

The dozen projects included: Three Blackwood BBQ restaurants on West Hubbard, West Lake and South Clinton streets; Three LaFournette French Bakery restaurants and a pastry school in Lincoln Park, and North Wells and West Lake streets; A Burger Bar and a Burger Bar / Pizzeria Sono on South Michigan Avenue and North Clybourn respectively; Two Goddess and the Baker sites, one at Navy Pier and one on South Wabash; A 5411 Empanadas on North Franklin; and Sociale on South Clark.

The team currently has 15 projects underway. Along with actively working on additional locations for Blackwood, Goddess and the Baker and another 5411 Empanadas, the team is completing a 13,000 square foot build-out for Simpletruth and a 3,000 square foot build-out for Closerlook.  They just finished a 12,563 square foot build-out for Tiger Financial at 440 North Wells and a 15,000 square foot build-out for GoHealth at 214 West Huron Street.

Tony is a graduate of Purdue University’s Construction Management program within the School of Technology.
