Seven projects, two programs and one young visionary were announced as winners at the seventh annual Urban Land Institute Chicago Vision Awards on June 13, 2018 at the newly renovated Theatre on the Lake in Chicago. The Vision Awards honor projects and programs that reflect creative development practices, inventive partnerships or sharing of resources, imaginative problem solving or visionary ideas contributing to the growth of vibrant communities.

“Tonight we gather here to recognize the projects and programs that exemplify ULI’s mission of building community—of bringing together public, non-profit and private sector partners in creating places that are sustainable yet dynamic, and truly visionary in how they have responded to their community’s unique needs,” said Mary Ludgin, managing director and head of global research, Heitman, and chair of ULI Chicago.

The 2018 Vision Award winners were named in the following categories: Project, Program and Young Visionary. At the conclusion of the Awards program, Gia Biagi, Studio Gang Architects and co-chair of the ULI Vision Awards, thanked the wide range of winning projects, programs and individuals “for the time and hard work you contribute to make our region healthier, sustainable and more livable for all of us.”
