St. Louis-based US Capital Development (USCD) has begun construction on two building projects in the Louisville, Kentucky, area as part of its new $500 million industrial platform.

These projects include the 443,822-square-foot industrial building at 637 East Blue Lick Road in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and the 470,288-square-foot industrial building at 250 River Ridge Parkway in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Construction is expected to be completed on both buildings by early 2022.

The project team for both buildings includes general contractor Summit Construction; civil engineering firm HWC Engineering; architect Gray Design Group, Inc.; structural engineer Alper Audi, Inc.; and real estate broker Kevin Grove, CBRE.

“The greater Louisville market offers compelling industrial growth opportunities, and we’re proud to deliver quality building space to the area,” said Scott Sachtleben, managing principal at USCD. “We’re excited to bring our proven track record of success to the Louisville market, and we look forward to initiating many more transactions in this and other cities moving forward.”

USCD has delivered several million square feet of space to market within the past year and is continuing development in more than a dozen primary markets, including Phoenix; Dallas; St. Louis; Indianapolis; Chicago; Cincinnati; Kansas City; Memphis; Louisville; Tampa; Charlotte; and Nashville.
