V3 Companies hires Jensen, Miller

V3 Companies—a multi-disciplinary firm offering environmental, civil engineering, contracting, planning, landscape architecture and surveying services—has announced the hiring of Eric Jensen, P.E. and Chris Miller.

Jensen is responsible for helping expand V3’s range of consulting and construction services in the power and energy market across all geographic regions. He brings more than 40 years of experience overseeing civil and structural work related to substations, transmission and distribution, in addition to commercial and industrial facilities.

“We’re excited to have Eric join the V3 team and support our expansion and growth in the power and energy market. His previous experience at ComEd will help lead and guide our teams to successful implementation of our growth strategy,” said vice president, Greg Wolterstorff.

As a former substation engineering manager, Jensen has led initiatives for project implementation across a network of utility operating companies. He has a bachelor of science in civil engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana.

Miller has joined V3 Companies as a resident construction manager in Illinois. He has 18 years of experience in all types of transportation-related construction projects, including large-scale railroad improvements involving civil and track construction. Miller is responsible for the management of construction staff, layout and inspection, documentation of contract quantities, cost estimates, change orders, pay estimates and work orders.

“As a former senior construction Manager for the Union Pacific Railroad, Chris has significant relationships with not only the UP but with other Class 1 railroads and commuter lines such as Metra,” said construction engineering director, Matt Powers. “This will expand V3’s existing expertise in the railroad market sector.”
